SESSION TWO: Let's fly

Well done Emma.
Sesson 2 and we have made great progress. It was great to see that week one's material was pretty solid. Especially the technique of  turning on your own line.

Key learnings from today's session were:
  1. Coming out of the swivels, the turns tempo is "quick quick quick: and then the haircomb and pose tempo is "slow slow".
  2. When you do the Brinco jump, remmeber to:
    • jump straight up (not looking for distance)
    • really point the straight leg from hip to toe
    • control your landing - land the base leg and then purposefully position the extended leg in it's posingposition (don't let it just flop/fall into position)
  3. Around the World Lift:
    • Bend on your way in so you can get more height with the jump
    • Aim to posiition the pole arm near your lower tummy.
      You will get more height and will avoid your arm rising to your head level.
    • When you are in thetake off position dont hayerextend yuor head back. Instead look slightly down in front of you.
    • Tuck only after you get the height.
    • When you tuck you need to feel that your feet have closed together.
      Gaps bertween your knees and ankles will slow the rotation down
    • When you feel Carlos grad your torso to land, aim to swing your head and body to the front.
  4. The one bit I'd like to have really tight by the next session is the walk in step before the swivels on the spot (i.e. the last section from week 1). You need to face your whole body to the right on 3, before the swivels on 5.
